I've never had a boat. My wife and I looked at lots of options and decided on a PWC (jet ski). It was a great choice. Our new Sea Doo is easy to transport and get in and out of the water. It is a very good value for the money and not expensive to insure (shop around). The Sea Doo is simple to learn to ride; the 2nd time out we were pulling teenagers on a tube! Great acceleration, smooth ride, and fun to be on. The re-boarding step in the back is a real help to some riders. It’s very stable and won't tip over easily. I love it.
Upgrades/Accessories: 1. A good anchor system - we made our own using a simple anchor, a rope, a clip and a tether ball.
2. Get a good trailer to haul it on.
3. Life vests in several different sizes (we store these and other things in plastic tubs in the back of the jeep!)
